Our Story

In this world of desires and ambitions, we feel that Imam of the Era (A.S) is abandoned even among his followers! Creating a healthy and balanced community to nurture Canadian Muslim youth, educating them under the light of the Quran and Ahl-ul-Bayt (A.S), addressing challenges to keep faith in the modern world, and most importantly, passing on the love of Imam of the Era (A.S) made us register CALL in early 2018.

Our Shia communities being formed mainly from immigrant populations, the cultural/language barrier is usually felt between them and their English-speaking, second-generation youth as well as converting brothers and sisters who try to mingle in. The disconnect leads many of them to either not attend programs regularly or not be involved in running the community works later.

CALL aims to empower Shia communities via training members from local communities who are motivated and skilled to give back to their community. We believe that effective training is realized via mentoring rather than merely teaching in Sunday schools. CALL’s highly-qualified mentors with multiple years of Islamic education under respected scholars, and long histories of community service reach out to young adults to create engaging mentorship circles designed specifically to address their social and educational needs. We help Shia communities grow by training skilled teachers, organizers, and volunteers from within the community.

We aspire to protect our communities against Shubahat by increasing accurate knowledge of the Quran, and Sunnah of the Prophet (S.A.W.A) and his Household (A.S). We believe remembering, reconnecting, and raising awareness about the Imam about the Era (A.S) is a crucial duty of every Muslim in this day and age.
